Welcome to Bubdi App’s privacy policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”).
INTRODUCTION
Bubdi is a platform engaged in offering technology-based services that facilitates searching, connecting and hiring of independent third party domestic house help service providers by customers seeking such house help services.
This Privacy Policy applies to your information that Bubdi App processes in connection with the Services, Application and Bubdi App’s website.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through its compliance with this Privacy Policy. In this Privacy Policy, we describe:
a. The types of information that Bubdi App may collect from you when you access, use or otherwise interact with its Services, Application or website; and
b. Its practices for collecting, storing, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how Bubdi App collects, stores, uses, discloses, retains, and protects your information. If you do not provide the information Bubdi App requires, Bubdi App may not be able to provide its Services to you.
By accessing or using our Services and/or registering an Account on the Application or Bubdi App’s website, you agree to your information being handled as described in this Privacy Policy. However, you have utmost control over your data, and you will hereby be informed about your choices regarding the use, access, correction, and deletion of your information. Any dispute over privacy of your information is subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable Terms of Use, including its applicable limitations on damages and resolution of disputes. Both versions of Bubdi App’s Terms of Use, i.e. Terms of Use for the Customer and Terms of Use for the Third Party Provider are incorporated by reference into this Privacy Policy and, for the sake of brevity, are hereinafter referred to as “Terms of Use”.
1. BACKGROUND AND KEY INFORMATION
1.1. How this Policy applies
This Policy applies to individuals who access or use the services of a Third Party Provider or otherwise avail or offer Third Party Provider services. For the avoidance of doubt, references to “you” across this Privacy Policy are to an end user that uses or accesses the Services, Application or Bubdi App’s website.
By using or accessing the Services, Application or Bubdi App’s website, you consent to the collection, storage, usage, and disclosure of your information, as described in and collected by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1.2. Review and Updates
We regularly review and update our Privacy Policy, and we request you to regularly review this section for updates we make to this Policy. It is important that the information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please let us know if your information changes during your relationship with us.
1.3. Third Party Services
The Application and Bubdi App’s website may include links to third party websites, plug-ins, services, and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We neither control nor endorse these third party services and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave the Application or Bubdi App’s website or access third party links through the Application or Bubdi App’s website, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of such third party service providers.
2. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To help us provide you Services efficiently, sufficiently and with adequate customizations, Bubdi App collects your information in the following manner:
2.1. We collect different types of information about you. This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Contact Data, such as your mailing or home address, location, email address and mobile number.
b. Identity and Profile Data, such as your name, username, photographs, identity proof including Aadhaar Card, COVID vaccination certificate, gender, and age.
c. Marketing and Communications Data, such as your (i) address and email address, (ii) information posted in Service requests, (iii) feedback, comments, and pictures, (iv) responses to user surveys and polls, (v) reporting technical failures or issues in accessing or using the Service, (vi) your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties, and (vii) your communication preferences.
d. Technical Data, which includes (i) your IP address, internet service provider, details of the operating system, access time, device ID, device type, page views, frequency of visiting Bubdi App’s website as well as use of the Application and Bubdi App’s website, (ii) clicks, and date and time stamps, (iii) location data, (iv) service-related technical, diagnostic, and performance information, including crash reports and performance logs, and (v) other technology on the devices that you use to access our Services.
e. Transaction Data, such as (i) details of the Services, (ii) services offered by Third Party Providers to customers or availed by the customers from Third Party Providers, (iii) if you are a customer, a limited portion of your debit or credit card details for tracking transactions that are provided to us by payment processors, (iv) if you are a Third Party Provider, your bank account details, and (v) UPI IDs for processing payments.
f. Usage Data, which includes information about (i) how you use the Services and avail / offer Third Party Provider services, (ii) your activity on the Application and Bubdi App’s website, (iii) booking history, (iv) user taps and clicks, (v) user interests, (vi) time spent on the Application or Bubdi App’s website, (vii) details about the GPS location of the user on the Application, (viii) page views, (ix) your last search location and search history on the Application or Bubdi App’s website, and (ix) content you publish through the Services, including texts, images, comments and feedbacks.
2.2. We also collect, use, and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data could be derived from your information but is not considered as information that directly or indirectly reveals your identity. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as your information which will be used in accordance with this Policy.
2.3. What happens if you refuse to provide your information?
Where we need to collect your information by law, or under the terms of contract (such as the Terms of Use), and you fail to provide that information when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to provide you with the Services). In this case, we may have to cancel or limit your access to the Services.

Each time you visit the Application or Bubdi App’s website or use our Services, we will automatically collect Technical Data about your device, browsing actions, and patterns. We collect this information by using pixel tags, server logs, and other similar technologies.
3.3. Third Parties or Publicly Available Sources
We will receive information about you in the form of Technical Data from various third parties, such as analytics providers and advertising networks.

4.1. We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data where we need to provide you with the Services, enable you to use or avail or offer or deliver (as the case may be) Third Party Provider services, or where we need to comply with a legal obligation. a. to verify your identity to register you as user, and create your user Account with us on the Application and Bubdi App’s website;
b. to provide the Services to you;
c. to enable the provision of services by Third Party Providers and to commence and end transactions using the Application;
d. to provide certain interactive features, such as suggesting Third Party Providers Account to customers based on their past search preferences;
e. to monitor trends and personalise your experience;
f. to improve the functionality of our Services based on the information and feedback we receive from you;
g. to improve customer service to effectively respond to your Service requests and support needs;
h. to track transactions and process payments;
i. to send periodic notifications to manage our relationship with you including to notify you of changes to the Services, send you information and updates pertaining to the Services you have availed, and to receive occasional news and updates related to us or the Services;
j. to assist with the facilitation of services by Third Party Providers offered, including to send you information and updates about the Third Party Provider services you have availed or you are hired for;
k. to market and advertise the Services to you;
l. to comply with legal obligations;
m. to administer and protect our business and the Services, including for troubleshooting, data analysis, system testing, and performing internal operations;
n. to provide and improve our advertising services, including to serve ads (including personalised ads when permitted) and to measure and understand the effectiveness of the ads;
o. to review, improve, and develop our Services, including by monitoring interactions and usage on your devices, analysing how you are using our Services, and informing our algorithms;
p. to improve our business and delivery models;
q. to maintain and enhance the safety, security, and stability of our Services by identifying and addressing technical or security issues or problems (such as technical bugs, spam accounts, and detecting abuse, fraud, and illegal activity);
r. to promote our Services or third party services through marketing communications or promotions, and
s. to perform our obligations that arise out of the arrangement we are about to enter or have entered with you;
t. to enforce our Terms;
u. to comply with our legal obligations, or as necessary to perform tasks in the public interest, or to protect the vital interests of our users and other people; and
v. to respond to court orders, establish or exercise our legal rights, or defend ourselves against legal claims.
4.2. You agree and acknowledge that by using our Services and creating an account with us on the Application or Bubdi App’s website, you authorise us, customers, or Third Party Providers and associate partners to contact you via email, phone, text (SMS) messages, or otherwise. This is to provide the Services to you and ensure that you are aware of all the features of the Services and for related purposes.
4.3. You agree and acknowledge that any and all information pertaining to you, whether or not you directly provide it to us (via the Services or otherwise), including but not limited to personal correspondence such as emails, instructions from you, etc., may be collected, compiled, and shared by us in order to render the Services to you. This may include but not be limited to Third Party Providers who provide or seek to provide you with their independent services and customers who seek or intend to seek services of Third Party Providers through the use of our Services. We may also share your information and data to third party service providers, storage providers, data analytics providers, consultants, lawyers and auditors.
4.4. You agree and acknowledge that we may share data without your consent, when it is required by law or by any court or government agency or authority to disclose such information. Such disclosures are made in good faith and belief that it is reasonably necessary to do so for enforcing this Policy or the Terms of Use, or in order to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
4.5. Further, you permit us to disclose your information to third parties in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, sale of assets or shares, reorganisation, financing, change of control, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
5. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
5.1. We may share your information with third parties set out below for the purposes set out in Clause 4:
a. third Party Providers to enable them to provide you with their services, or customers to enable them to hire your services through the use of our Services;
b. third parties such as:
● trusted third parties such as our associate partners, and service providers that provide services for us on our behalf. This includes hosting and operating our Application, website, providing marketing assistance, conducting our business, processing payments and transaction-related processes, transmitting content, and providing our Services to you;
● analytical service providers and advertising networks that conduct web analytics for us to help us improve our Services. To reiterate, these analytics providers may use plugins and other technologies to perform their services;
● other registered users on our Application or website upon your request or where you explicitly consent to such disclosure; and
● regulators and other bodies, as required by law or regulation.
5.2. We require all third parties to respect the security of your information and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our Third Party Providers / customers to use your information for their own purposes and only permit them to process your information for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
6.1. Access and Updating your Information
You hereby warrant that all information that you provide us is accurate, up-to-date, and true. When you use our Services, we make best efforts to provide you with the ability to access and correct inaccurate or deficient data, subject to any legal requirements.
6.2. Opting-out of Marketing and Promotion Communications
When we send you marketing and promotional content through email, we make best efforts to provide you with the ability to opt-out of such communications by using the opt-out instructions provided in such emails. You understand and acknowledge that it may take us up to 10 (ten) business days to give effect to your opt-out request. Please note that we may still send you emails about your account or any Services you have requested or received from us.
7.1. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Terms of Use that may apply to you, you may delete your account as well as your information stored with Bubdi App by sending an email to support@bubdi.com. Bubdi App may take up to 7 (seven) working days to process your request. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all Services. For avoidance of doubt, it is hereby clarified that all data with respect to transactions performed by you on the Application or Bubdi App’s website will be retained in accordance with the applicable law.
8. TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION
We comply with applicable laws in respect of storage and transfer of your information. As a part of your use of the Services, the information and personal data you provide to us may be transferred to and stored in countries other than the country you are based in. This may happen if any of our servers are located outside India, or one of our partners, or service providers is located outside of India.
9. DATA SECURITY
9.1. Security of your information is important to us. We maintain appropriate technical, administrative, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorised access, theft, disclosure, modification, or loss. We regularly review our security measures to consider available new technology and methods. While we also use reasonable measures to help protect information from misuse, alteration, and destruction, you should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure.
9.2. We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and for the other purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We also retain information when necessary to comply with contractual and legal obligations, when we have a legitimate business interest to do so (such as improving and developing our Services, and enhancing the safety, security and stability of our Services), and for the exercise or defence of legal claims.

10.1. You agree and acknowledge that your personal data will continue to be stored and retained by us for as long as necessary to fulfil our stated purpose(s) and for a reasonable period after the termination of your Account on the Application or Bubdi App’s website or access to the Services to comply with our legal rights and obligations.
10.2. In some circumstances, we may aggregate your information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
11. BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS
You are aware that in the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another organisation, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data might be among the assets transferred.
12. USER GENERATED CONTENT
We invite you to post content on our Application and website, including your comments, feedback, pictures or any other information that you would like to be made available on our Application or website. Please note that such content will be available to all visitors to our Application and website and may become public. We cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that is contrary to this Policy, applicable laws, or your personal privacy, and we disclaim all liability (express or implied) in this regard. Further, you agree to comply with all applicable laws in relation to the content uploaded or otherwise shared by you on the Application or Bubdi App’s website. You understand and acknowledge that you will be solely responsible for any information published by you on our Application or website that violates applicable laws.
13. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
13.1. We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. If we make changes to this Policy, we will upload the revised policy on the Application and Bubdi App’s website or share it with you through other means, such as email or by notifying you of such revision on the Application or Bubdi App’s website. To the extent permitted under applicable law, by continuing to use or access our Services after such notice, you consent to updates made to this Policy.
